We are excited to begin contacting families referred to us as via this new partnership arrangement. As of September 2022 children, young people and families can be referred to our programmes by the Children's Early Intervention Service, via CAMHS.

Designed for delivery in classrooms, the programme delivers measured outcomes in the social and emotional health of young people, improved cognitive and academic performance and improved relationships.
inheritedtrauma.org 12 full days of intensive training hit the half way point this weekend. We have had amazing sessions with guest teachers, including tutorials in how to lead and teach breathwork, QiGong, mindfulness and meditation as well as completing Advanced Practitioner Training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or 'Tapping') with Bridin from Life Therapies clinic. We have completed months of case studies and assignments, and the commitment, excitement and passion is just getting bigger!
With thanks to Community Foundation Seed Fund and Queens University's support for innovation in social emotional learning. In response to Covid, Lightwork ran a family support programme funded by Victoria Homes Trust and Enkalon foundation. We provided more than 100 sessions of direct support to parents and children in July and August 2020. Around 80% of those sessions were focused on children’s behaviour.
"Anxiety often presents as hyperactivity and defiant behaviours, aggression and meltdowns as well as sadness, loneliness and difficulties with sleeping and eating. However, we know that when children are well supported to understand and regulate their emotions through difficult life experiences, they can emerge stronger. As children return to school, we have an opportunity to respond to children’s legitimate worries by teaching them effective techniques and strategies to restore calm, to manage their fear and build courage.
