Lightwork NI has a mission to give everyone the knowledge, tools and skills to develop resilience and cope with the emotions which arise from difficult life circumstances. By teaching emotional regulation strategies alongside techniques from positive psychology and life coaching, we aim to give people the practical tools which can help them feel better, so they make better choices.
The core work of Lightwork is 

1. Translation of academic research from neuroscience, social sciences and positive psychology into therapeutic regulation strategies, which can be taught for independent use. 
2. Design and delivery of preventative emotional regulation education programmes in schools and other settings
3. Design and delivery of a range of coaching and support services to families and young people to assist with relationship and communication skills, trauma recovery and emotional regulation.

Light Up
Kids

 Light Up Kids workshops are created by an Educational Psychologist, a Child Trauma Specialist and an experienced Teacher and Family Support Worker. We aim to help Children release anxiety, overwhelm, worry and excess energy: We teach tools which kids use to create calmness, concentration and confidence.

'Try This!'
​ Teens Programme

Try This is a series of workshops  aimed at specifically targeted skills, knowledge and practical techniques to support young people with social and general anxiety and exam/ school stress. We teach emotional regulation techniques alongside activities to nurture creativity and expression.

​Parents

Our 90 minute parents workshops cover the principles of  how to create emotional resilience.  Parents will understand more about the importance of connected relationships, how childrens' brains and bodies develop and work together, and will learn a range practical tools and techniques to use at home.
